Multi-awarded CSMPHS dancers get recognition

THE Municipal Council last Monday passed a resolution to extend its deep appreciation and commendation to the dancers from Columbia St. Michael’s Parish High School for their stunning performance that placed them as grand slam winner in tableau and street dancing competitions in this year’s Lanzones Festival held recently.

The resolution, authored by Councilor Liberato E. Babanto and unanimously seconded by all members, cited the CSMPHS students and teachers for bringing greater honor, glory and prestige to our beloved municipality.

“They not only gave vast honor and fulfillment to their school and parents but also distinct pride and esteem for every Mahinognon,” the councilors said.

The Council also extended its deep appreciation to all the parents of the dancers for their enduring support and approval that contributed to the overwhelming success of our contingent.

The amazing success that we earn clearly demonstrates the dedication and quality of the people of Mahinog to do their part for the interest of our town, the councilors said in the resolution.

Mayor Alex R. Jajalla said this victory had united and inspired Mahinog people. “I hope this spirit of unity and the pride for the town will be exemplified by every Mahinognon in other fields of endeavor,” he said.

He added with “courage and steadfast faith” in ourselves as a people, we will succeed in our goal in making Mahinog a better and more creative place to live. (Homer R. Jajalla – Mahinog Information Office)

  1. I commend Liberato E. Babanto for reawakening the spirits of his colleague...by joining with him in recognizing my cherished Alma Mater, Columbia, St. Michael's Parish High School. CSMPHS has been and will always be the bridge of realizing our young people's dream to reach to their highest potential, achieving a college education and beyond. A salute also to the imaginative Rev. Fr. Patrick Cashman...a visionary to help improve the lives of the people of Mahinog. More power to our Municipal Leaders! More power to Mayor Alex Jajalla, dedicated public servant. This note is coming from a former Alumnus and former CSMPHS faculty member
